Spinal Care

Spinal care comprises the backbone of good neurological health. Although most people will develop some degree of cervical, thoracic or lumbar spine arthritis as they age, a percentage will develop associated pain. For patients requiring advanced treatments for spinal pain, we offer the latest techniques including vertebroplasty for osteoporotic fractures and artificial discs for degenerative disc disease. Below is a shortened list of some of the spinal conditions we treat at Northwest Brain & Spine.

Vertebroplasty is a minimally invasive non-surgical therapy used to strengthen spinal bone weakened by osteoporosis. Performed by injecting an orthopedic cement mixture into the fractured bone, it is usually successful at alleviating pain caused by compression fractures. Artificial discs are used for patients suffering from degenerative disc disease. The prosthetic discs replace injured discs, helping to relieve chronic pain while allowing movement of the spine.

Dr.Yundt & Dr. Hadden specialize in the treatment of spine trauma, ranging from bony and ligamentous injuries to incomplete and complete spinal cord injuries. Surgery is often required in cases of spinal injury to stabilize the spine or prevent pain or deformity.
